Wild Flowers in Watercolour
Over the heat of summer I took to watercolours, mainly so I could spritz my face with a fine mist! It is so pleasant to paint with loose strokes, not really knowing where the paint will go and allowing the pigments to settle and rest, creating blooms of petals.
I have deliberately kept the artworks small A5 so as to move on before over working the piece. Spontaneity was my aim and although they are not botanically correct I feel I have created some character amongst the flowers. Wild watercolours! Need more colours to play with now …
I am running Saturday workshops for watercolour, starting this month hopefully at Apollo Clay and Art Studio Gallery. You can sign up to my email for more information or check in with my Facebook page for upcoming dates.
