Studio Art Sessions
Watercolour Floral Workshop
$95 for 3 hour duration, Saturday. Maximum of 10 People
Join me for a 3 hour watercolour workshop, where we will paint beautiful blooms and florals.
With no expectation other than a love of watercolour, I will help you enjoy painting some imaginary florals, wild and loose.
This will be all about enjoyment and no fear of mistakes or judgement.
Learn to use different techniques not just brushes and learn how different marks bring energy into our work.
When the work is dry we will use pen and inks to bring some structure back onto the paper.
This is a fun workshop, brushes and student grade watercolour paint will be available, plus A3 maximum size of watercolour paper.
Feel free to bring your own watercolour paint if you prefer. A few other mediums of my own will be available to experience.
3 Hours only starts at 10.30 -1.30pm, $95 per session per person. Minimum of 4 people needed to run this workshop. No refunds given as venue is paid for in advance.

Let It Flow, Ink On Yupo Paper
$150 Per Person, Max 6 People, 4 hour duration.
Discover the joy of inks on Yupo synthetic paper. Watch the colours interact with each other and create a vibrant bold artwork. Art sessions at my New Zealand studio will be a unique experience, with no pressure and no fear of getting things wrong.
I will give you an intro into alcohol inks. Experiment with mark making tools and learn the basics of colour theory in a practical way.
We will finish the paintings by looking at the overall composition and add further details with the use of fine lines. There will be an opportunity to take your design further by looking at the power of negative space.
You will create some small experimental artworks and one larger 40cm x 30cm /A3 to take home some fun memories of the day. So bring some friends and treat yourselves to a creative art session.

Birds of a Feather, Multi Media.
$150 Per Person, Max 6 people, 4 hours duration
This is a multi media art session. Create a unique feather artwork and include a personal affirmation to yourself or family, that will be the perfect gift or statement for your home.
We will be using acrylic paint, inks, watercolours and pens. Experiment with all mediums to understand mark making and line drawing. You can choose from the different techniques you have experienced and choose the option for your final artwork.
So whether you feel inspired by the beautiful Tui feathers or a Kakapo, gather your friends for a fun art session, as they say birds of a feather stick together!

Charcoal, Make Your Mark
$150 Per Person, Max 6. Four hours duration.
Charcoal is so playful to work with if a little messy at times!
In this art session we will look at mark making with various types of charcoal and understand how to use them.
You will make a series of drawings to experiment with mark making and look at how light works in a composition, plus a final drawing of a landscape to add to your collection.
Charcoal is often the basis to all artworks,it is easy to move across the paper as ideas develop. We will learn about the different types of paper, use subtractive techniques and look at different tools to make your marks.
